Do you need to convert at all?

Monthly e-statements Axis emails are password-protected PDFs only. Older saved statements and PDFs a client sends you need converting.

What to know about Axis Bank PDFs
- An extra branch column
- Axis statements usually print Tran Date, Chq No, Particulars, Debit, Credit, Balance and Init. Br. Init. Br is the code of the branch that started the transaction. Most people delete it after converting.
- Opening balance line first
- The first row is usually OPENING BALANCE with a balance but no debit or credit. Keep it for your balance check, then remove it before importing so it isn't booked as a transaction.
- Particulars wrap over lines
- UPI/P2A, NEFT and IMPS particulars often wrap onto two or three lines in the PDF. They come through as one cell per transaction. Check a few long ones against the PDF.
- Day-first dates
- Axis prints dates as DD-MM-YYYY. If Excel shows some dates as text or swaps day and month, set the column type to Date with a DMY order when importing.
Axis Bank statement password
Axis Bank’s account e-statement is locked with the first four letters of your name in UPPER CASE followed by your 9-digit Customer ID.
- Take the name as it’s printed on the statement, ignoring spaces and full stops.
- Example: Rahul, Customer ID 123456789, uses RAHU123456789.
For a statement you download from Internet Banking or the Axis Mobile app, the password rule is shown on the download screen. Axis Bank customer care can confirm it. BankConv only asks for a password when the PDF has one.
Axis Bank statement PDF to Excel in four steps
Upload, unlock, check and download. Each transaction becomes one row with date, particulars, amount and balance.
- Use the converter on this page or bank statement to Excel.
- Drop in the Axis PDF, or up to 10 at once.
- Enter the PDF password when asked.
- Download Excel, CSV or Google Sheets.
Check the converted Axis statement
Check the totals yourself before using the file.
- Balance check: opening balance + total credits − total debits should equal the closing balance at the end of the statement.
- Spot check: compare three rows with the PDF, including one with a long UPI or NEFT particular.
- Numbers: confirm Debit and Credit right-align in Excel and sum without errors.
Axis statements in Tally and Zoho Books
BankConv exports Excel, CSV and Google Sheets, not Tally XML. From the Excel file:
- TallyPrime: look for the import option on the bank reconciliation screen; the layouts it accepts depend on your Tally release. An Excel-to-Tally utility that maps Tran Date, Particulars, Debit and Credit is the common alternative.
- Zoho Books: in Banking, open the account, choose Import Statement and upload the CSV.
Other Indian banks: HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, or all Indian banks. Read how files are handled on the security page.

Axis Bank statement questions
What is the password for my Axis Bank statement PDF?
For an account e-statement, Axis Bank says the password is the first four letters of your name in capitals, as printed on the statement and ignoring spaces and full stops, followed by your 9-digit Customer ID, for example RAHU123456789. For a statement downloaded from Internet Banking or the Axis Mobile app, follow the password instructions on the download screen, or ask Axis Bank customer care.
Can I convert an Axis Bank statement to Excel for free?
Yes, for a short statement. Your first 5 pages convert free with no signup, and a free account (needed to download) gives you 5 pages a day. Longer statements are priced per document, or covered by a monthly plan; the pricing page has the rates.
Does BankConv work with Axis current account statements?
Yes. Savings, salary and current account statements all convert, because BankConv reads the transaction table on the page rather than a fixed template.
Is my Axis statement safe to upload?
Files go over HTTPS and are deleted automatically after 24 hours. The PDF password is used once and never stored, and BankConv never connects to your Axis account.
