Do you need to convert at all?
PNB internet banking can usually show an account statement for a date range and download it as PDF, and often as Excel. For a recent period from your own login, that may be enough.
Monthly e-statements go to your registered email as PDFs. Statements from clients, older saved PDFs and branch-printed statements need converting.

What to know about Punjab National Bank PDFs
- Balances end in Cr. or Dr.
- PNB statements often print the balance as 50,402.25 Cr. Make sure the converted Balance column is a number. On an overdraft or cash credit account, a Dr. balance means you owe the bank, so treat it as negative.
- Older layouts from merged banks
- Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India merged into PNB in 2020. Statements from before the merger use those banks' layouts. They convert too, but don't mix them in one sheet without lining up the columns.
- Branch statements are often scans
- A statement printed at a PNB branch and scanned is an image, not text. BankConv reads it with OCR, and a clear, straight scan works best. Check amounts closely on scanned pages.
