Terms of Service

Effective date: 27 April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BankConv website, REST API, and Google Sheets add-on (collectively, the "Service"), operated by BankConv ("BankConv", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

The service

BankConv converts bank statement PDFs into structured CSV, Excel, JSON, and Google Sheets data. The Service is provided through:

  • The web application at https://bankconv.com
  • The REST API at https://bankconv.com/api/v1
  • The "BankConv for Google Sheets" add-on distributed through the Google Workspace Marketplace

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, API keys, and OAuth tokens confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for documents you own or are explicitly authorized to process. You will not:

  • Upload documents containing data you have no lawful right to process
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
  • Use the Service to commit fraud, money laundering, or any other illegal activity
  • Share your account, API key, or OAuth tokens with third parties
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, or that we reasonably believe are being used in a disruptive or abusive way (including activity that violates the DMCA or other applicable law).

Google Sheets add-on

When you authorize the BankConv for Google Sheets add-on, you grant the add-on permission to render its sidebar inside Google Sheets and to call the BankConv REST API on your behalf. The add-on operates only on the active spreadsheet (@OnlyCurrentDoc) and only contacts the whitelisted host https://bankconv.com/api/. You can disconnect the add-on at any time from the sidebar or by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Your use of the add-on is additionally governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how Google user data is handled.

Subscriptions, credits, and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe. Each page of a converted PDF consumes one credit. Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

Refund policy

Except where required by applicable law, paid subscription fees are non-refundable. Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service running, but the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that conversions will be free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BankConv's total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates legal or operational risk. On termination, we will delete or anonymize your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least seven days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where BankConv is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
