Convert South Indian Bank statements to Excel or CSV

Do you need to convert at all?

SIBerNet's FAQ says statements "can be downloaded in different formats under Accounts Menu". If your own login offers a spreadsheet format for the period you need, you may not need to convert at all.

PDFs from the SIB Mirror+ app, statements a client or family member forwards you and older saved statements need converting to get rows.

What to know about South Indian Bank PDFs

NRE and NRO statements are separate
Many SIB customers live abroad and hold both an NRE and an NRO account. Each has its own statement. Convert both, then tag or remove the transfers between them so the same money isn't counted twice in your books.
Foreign remittances in the description
Money sent from abroad usually shows up with a remittance reference and the sender's details in the description. That text stays in the description column, so filter on it in Excel to list all inward remittances for a tax year.
Indian number formatting
Amounts are usually printed with Indian digit grouping, such as 1,25,000.00. Check that a few large amounts came through with the right value before you total anything.

If the PDF asks for a password, the rule is given in the message the statement came with. If it isn’t clear, SIB customer care can confirm it for your account. BankConv asks for a password only when the file has one.
