- 3.Choose the account and the date range, then download the statement as PDF.
- 4.Or open the monthly e-statement email from Kotak and save the PDF attachment.
- 5.Upload the PDF to BankConv. You can convert up to 10 statements in one batch.
Do you need to convert at all?
Kotak net banking can usually show a statement for a date range you choose and offers it as a PDF, and often as an Excel file too. For a recent period from your own login, that download may be enough.
Monthly e-statements arrive by email as password-protected PDFs only. Statements a client sends you, older PDFs you saved and branch-issued statements need converting.

What to know about Kotak Mahindra Bank PDFs
- Two statement layouts
- Some Kotak statements print separate Withdrawal (Dr) and Deposit (Cr) columns. Others print a single Amount column with a Dr or Cr marker beside it. Check which one you have before you map columns in Tally or Zoho Books.
- Sweep transfers look like transactions
- If your account has a sweep facility such as ActivMoney, money moving to and from the linked fixed deposit usually shows as its own debit or credit line. These are internal transfers, not spending or income, so tag them separately.
- Long reference numbers in Excel
- The Chq/Ref No. column holds 12-digit UPI references and longer NEFT and IMPS numbers. If you open a CSV straight in Excel, it can show them as 1.23E+11. Use the Excel download, or import the CSV with Data > From Text/CSV and set that column to Text.
Kotak bank statement password
Kotak Mahindra Bank account statements are password-protected. The password rule is given in the email or SMS that comes with the statement, or on the screen where you download it from net banking or the Kotak app. If it isn’t clear, Kotak customer care can confirm it.
BankConv asks for a password only when the PDF has one, uses it once and never stores it.
