Do you need to convert at all?
Union Bank internet banking can usually show a statement for a date range and download it as PDF or Excel. For a recent period from your own login, the Excel file may be enough.
Full statements requested in the Vyom app usually arrive by email as PDFs. Statements from clients, older saved PDFs and branch-printed statements need converting.

What to know about Union Bank of India PDFs
- Every line has a Tran Id
- Union Bank statements usually include a transaction ID such as S12345678 on each line. Keep it. It is the quickest way to match a line when you query a payment with the branch.
- Older Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank layouts
- Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank merged into Union Bank of India in 2020. Statements from before the migration use those banks' layouts and column names. They convert too, but line up the columns before you combine them with newer months.
- Balance may carry a (Cr) marker
- Some Union Bank statements print the balance with a Cr or Dr marker. Check that the converted Balance column holds numbers, and treat a Dr balance on an overdraft account as negative.
