Convert USAA statements to Excel or CSV
Finding the right USAA PDF is usually harder than converting it: bank and insurance documents share one list in My Documents, which usually shows the last 18 months unless you widen the delivery date filter. - 2.Open My Documents (sometimes shown as Documents).
- 3.Filter to bank statements and the account, and widen the delivery date range if you need more than 18 months.
- 4.Open each statement and save the PDF.
Do you need to convert at all?
USAA online banking usually lets you export recent transactions from the account's transaction history. Check the format list on your account, since it can vary.

What to know about USAA PDFs
- The document list stops at 18 months
- USAA's My Documents page shows the last 18 months by default. To find older statements, open the filter and extend the delivery date range. Each document stays available only until it expires, so save the PDFs you need.
- Bank and insurance documents share one list
- My Documents holds bank statements alongside insurance, investment and tax documents. Filter by document type or account so you save the right PDFs.
- Dates without a year
- Dates usually print as 09/01 with no year, so the year has to come from the statement period. Rows on a statement that runs from December into January need a second look.
USAA statements are usually text-based PDFs, so conversion tends to be the easy step. Finding the right PDF is usually the harder part.
How to get USAA transactions as CSV
For recent transactions, try USAA’s own export. For full statement months, or anything older, convert the PDFs.
- Recent activity: on usaa.com, open the account’s transaction history and look for an export or download option. Choose a spreadsheet format.
- Statement months: in My Documents, filter to bank statements, save each PDF, upload them to BankConv (up to 10 at a time), and export CSV or Excel.
Lenders and VA loan officers usually want full statements, which carry the opening and closing balance.
What to check after converting
Check the rows against the statement before you import.
- Totals: add up Debits and Credits and compare them with the statement summary.
- Balance: the last balance should match the ending balance on the PDF.
- Year: check rows near January 1.
