Convert Regions Bank statements to Excel or CSV
Regions has a gap between its two records: online transaction history builds up to 18 months, while online statements go back up to seven years. Its Download Transactions option sends activity to Quicken or QuickBooks through Web Connect, not to a spreadsheet. For older months, convert the PDF from Online Statements with BankConv into Excel, CSV or Google Sheets.

What to know about Regions Bank PDFs
- Transaction history is shorter than statement history
- Regions shows up to 18 months of transactions online, and only 90 days at first if you just enrolled. Statements go back up to seven years. For anything older than your transaction history, the PDF is the only digital source.
- Web Connect is built for Quicken and QuickBooks
- The Download Transactions option lists personal finance software in its Select a Format dropdown. If you want a plain spreadsheet, converting the PDF statement gives you rows you can open straight in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Deposits and withdrawals in separate sections
- Regions checking statements usually list deposits and credits, withdrawals, fees and checks under their own headings, with a daily balance summary at the end. Rows come out grouped by section, so sort by date for one chronological list.
- Dates without a year
- Dates usually look like 09/02, with no year. Take the year from the statement period, and check December–January statements row by row before you sort.
Regions statements from Online Statements are usually text-based PDFs, so conversion is straightforward. The main thing to plan around is the short transaction history online compared with the seven years of statements.
How to get Regions transactions as CSV
Regions’ own download feeds Quicken and QuickBooks; for a spreadsheet, or for anything older than your online history, convert the PDF statements.
- Recent activity into Quicken or QuickBooks: on the account details page, click the Download Transactions icon, choose your software under Select a Format, tick the accounts, set a date range and submit.
- Spreadsheet or older months: go to Accounts, then Online Statements, save each monthly PDF, upload them to BankConv (up to 10 at a time), and export CSV or Excel.
The PDF route also suits lenders and accountants, because it includes the opening and closing balance.
What to check after converting
Use the totals on the statement to check the result yourself.
- Section totals: add up deposits and withdrawals separately and compare each with the account summary at the top of the statement.
- Daily balances: pick two or three dates from the balance summary and confirm your running total matches.
- Overlapping downloads: if you also pulled recent activity through Web Connect, don’t import the same dates twice.
