Convert Citizens statements to Excel or CSV
Many unrelated banks are called Citizens, so first confirm the statement comes from Citizens Online Banking, where PDF statements sit in the Document Center. Its own CSV download only covers recent activity, which makes those PDFs the only source for older months. BankConv converts them into Excel, CSV or Google Sheets.

- 1.Log in to Citizens Online Banking at citizensbank.com, ideally on a computer.
- 2.Open the Document Center.
- 3.Choose Statements, the account and the month, then open and save the PDF.
- 4.Repeat for each month.
Do you need to convert at all?
Citizens Online Banking usually lets you download recent transactions from the account page, with CSV as the spreadsheet format. Quicken-compatible downloads may depend on the account.

What to know about Citizens PDFs
- Many banks are called Citizens
- This page covers Citizens (Citizens Financial Group, citizensbank.com). Dozens of unrelated US banks also use the Citizens name, with different statements and online banking. Check the logo and web address on your PDF.
- Statements live in the Document Center
- Citizens keeps statements, check images and tax forms together in the Document Center in Online Banking. If you can't find statements in the mobile app, use Online Banking on a computer.
- Dates without a year
- Dates usually print as 09/02 with no year, so the year has to come from the statement period. Rows on a statement that runs from December into January need a second look.
Citizens statements are usually text-based PDFs and give little trouble in conversion. First make sure you have the right Citizens: many unrelated banks share the name.
How to get Citizens transactions as CSV
Citizens’ transaction download covers recent activity; for older months, convert the PDF statements.
- Recent activity: in Citizens Online Banking, open the account and look for a download or export option above the transaction list. Choose CSV and a date range.
- Older months: open the Document Center, save each monthly PDF, upload them to BankConv (up to 10 at a time), and export CSV or Excel.
The statement also shows the opening and closing balance, which lenders ask for.
What to check after converting
Citizens statements usually group activity by type, with a daily balance table. Check these before you import:
- Totals: add up deposits and withdrawals and compare them with the balance summary.
- Daily balances: pick two or three dates and confirm your running total matches.
- Order: sort by date if rows came out grouped by type.
