Convert TSB statements to Excel or CSV
TSB statements live in the Digital Inbox in Internet Banking and the TSB app rather than under the account, as PDFs that match the paper versions. TSB doesn't describe a spreadsheet export for personal accounts, so those PDFs are the way to get past months. BankConv reads them into Excel, CSV or Google Sheets, with money out and money in kept as separate columns.

Do you need to convert at all?
TSB's personal help pages describe statements as PDFs in the Digital Inbox and don't describe a spreadsheet export of transactions. Business Internet Banking lets you download a statement into a financial software package; TSB doesn't name the file formats on its public pages.
Business Internet Banking shows transactions for at least the last 13 months. For personal accounts, the PDF statements in the Digital Inbox are the reliable route to past months.
What to know about TSB PDFs
- Statements sit in the inbox, not under the account
- TSB delivers statements to the Digital Inbox alongside letters and other correspondence, so you won't usually find them on the account page itself. Check each document's date and account before you download, so you don't convert a letter or the wrong account.
- Look for a payment type column
- TSB statements usually show a short payment type next to each line, such as a debit card payment, direct debit or Faster Payment. Keep it as its own column; it makes filtering by type easy once the rows are in Excel.
- Money out and money in are separate
- Debits and credits usually sit in two columns with no minus signs. Keep both, or build one signed amount (money in minus money out) before you import into software that wants a single Amount column.
TSB statements are PDFs that look the same as the paper versions, so the transaction table converts row for row. The main things to watch are picking the right document from the inbox and keeping money out and money in apart.
How to get TSB transactions as CSV
TSB doesn’t describe a CSV export for personal accounts on its help pages, so the PDF statement is the route to a spreadsheet.
- Save the statements: open Your Inbox in Internet Banking (or Inbox in the app) and save each monthly PDF.
- Convert them: upload the PDFs to BankConv, up to 10 at a time, check the rows, and export CSV or Excel.
Business customers can download statements into financial software from Business Internet Banking. The PDF route still helps when an accountant or lender wants full statements with opening and closing balances.
What to check after converting
Use the balances on the statement to confirm the result yourself.
- Balance: opening balance plus money in minus money out should equal the closing balance on the PDF.
- Account: if you saved statements for more than one account, check the account number on each PDF before you combine the rows.
- Dates: UK dates are day first, so make sure your software reads 03/09 as 3 September.
For Xero, see importing into Xero. More UK banks are on the UK banks page.
